Both Hollywood actresses wore belted white dresses recently, but which girl wore this look best?

Jessica Alba wore a sheer white dress with a thin red waist belt which she teamed with peep-toe cage heels and tied back hair. Salma Hayek wore a strapless white dress which she wore with a red waist belt too – Salma paired the dress with matching red heels and loose locks.

How do you know when a fashion trend has hit Hollywood? When three women from three completely different walks of life are spotted out in it. Case in point: over the last few weeks, Miranda Cosgrove (a 17-year old pop singer), Kim Kardashian (a 29-year old professional celebrity) and Salma Hayek (a 43-year old Oscar nominee) all showed off new purple dresses.

Frankly, we don’t get it … sure goth is hot (in fact, we can tell you some stories about this one waitress who used to work at Columbia’s Publick House …), but what’s behind the recent surge in vampire interest?  Particularly among younger audiences? “Twilight is like soccer,” our venerable music critic Karl Snorlaxx once observed. “They run around for 2 hours, nobody scores, and its billion fans insist you just don’t understand.”

Ha! True that.  Still, the Twilight franchise (Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse) has generated more than $1 billion in box office receipts over the last two years, with a fourth movie coming next year.  Clearly, some social undercurrent is “feeding” that bonanza.  Also, adults are starting to pay attention to the phenomenon as vampire culture has found its way into old people shows like Law & Order.

Hollywood is all about which bust is best. While many studios are now bucking the trend for big boobs and demanding au natural actresses with no breast implants, a few have already made millions from their boobs Pamela Anderson has gone from large to small to large and small again and has described her relationship with her breasts as a love/hate affair. “It’s a love/hate thing but we’re very close. I’m glad I got my implants but they’re sometimes in the way,” she says.\

Scarlett Johansson’s milky mounds are a pair of the most recognisable breasts in the world and she says she may give them a lift when they start sagging.”I do believe in plastic surgery, I don’t want to be an old hag, there’s no fun in that,” she says. In our desperation to shed the embarrassing flab and folds, we readily try out every possible advice that pours.

Perhaps the bizarre celeb diets to a great extent. It almost seems like a trend now  celebs like.

Kate Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Ashley Judd and now Salma Hayek , making public their secret diet for a great body.

The Mexican beauty revealed that her secret to a great body was a diet of worms, ants and smoky grasshoppers.

Television actor Ridhi Dogra feels it’s an obsession with dieting where one tends to go overboard, trying.

So we couldn’t blame Salma Hayek  for copying the former Spice Girl when she turned up to The Late Show in an identical dress.

Both ladies have nailed the effortless glamorous look. Emma kept things classic by teaming the dress with a pair of black court heels while Salma opted to go nude, with matching shoes and bangle. But whilst we could talk about our love for this dress all day long, there is one thing we need to get to the bottom of… who wore it best?

SEXY Salma Hayek says her bikini scene in new movie  Grown-Ups gave her the incentive she needed to get into shape.

The actress — who gave birth to daughter Valentina in September 2007 — was determined to look her best in front of the cast and crew.

“Having to wear a bathing suit in front of the camera and thousands of extras definitely motivates you to work out,” she said.

“I think the outfits that make you feel good are the outfits that fit you and don’t make you feel like you have to suck in your gut or you cannot move in a certain direction.

“Wearing something comfortable always makes me feel confident. With a bikini there is no hiding!”

Salma — who was born and raised in Mexico — recently praised Hollywood for “embracing” Latino stars.

“Hollywood has definitely grown, in embracing the inclusion of Latinos in the world because, for some time, we didn’t exist. We were not part of any stories,” she said.

“There are 40 million of us in the US. It was weird. I was very privileged to be part of a small generation of people that broke through that door first, but I didn’t do it by myself. Jennifer Lopez was also part of it. Ricky Martin was a huge part of it. There was a group of people and great timing.”
